Another update

I love my phone. I love the Internet. I don't love the Internet on my iPhone. It drives me CRAZY!

With such a small screen, it's almost impossible to get what text you're looking for; and even if you manage that, navigating around the page is a nightmare.

And currently I'm without Internet, and have to resort to using my phone...before I really didn't mind browsing around. But, using it much more, I've come to dislike it very much...and landscape doesn't really change things, just puts more text on the screen and the same navigating problem persists...

Yo

Yeah, it's been a long time since I posted on the ol' blog, but I'll keep it around. I mean, it's nice to have every once in a while ya know? Anyway, I won't be closing the blog anytime soon and I don't get a lot of feedback but I'm OK with that.

It's been raining for the past 8 days or so and we finally had the sun come out here in the Great White North. I'm glad that the rain is gone, it reminded me a lot about Oregon, I mean...I liked the place; but not the rain and there's lots of rain. It's been years now and I still don't have all my stuff, some in Oregon and California but I'll face facts: that stuff is gone. I would have liked my 36 inch LCD TV but, meh. I feel it's gone, and if it's returned to me, that would be sweet but until then: meh.

Aside from that stuff though, life is good: just going through the motions, and I gotta say: it's really boring being an adult. You always got to be mindful of how much you spend, what you're going to do about meal times, finding time for your better half...it's lots of work. But I'm ok with that, I'm learning to accept that we can't get what we want by simply wanting it. It must be worked for.

I think I'm going to sign off on that Note but stick around, I'm sure something fresh will come to the blog again BlogBooster-The most productive way for mobile blogging. BlogBooster is a multi-service blog editor for iPhone, Android, WebOs and your desktop

Zombies

Hello everyone, I've been doing lots of thinking about Zombies and how they are portrayed in movies, which I think some movies get it right and others...fall way off the mark.

So I think we should begin with defining what a zombie actually is. I have the dictionary.com app on my iPhone and this is what it gave me:

1. the body of a dead person given the semblance of life, but mute and will-less, by a supernatural force, usually for some evil purpose.

Now with that, it makes sense with zombie movies; they are usually slow, can't really speak other than moans or screams and has enough motor function to walk. But what gets me is that some movies take this definition and throw it out the window.

I watched the remake of Dawn of the Dead and noticed somethings that zombies can't do; let alone a person with full motor function. They climbed up a sheer wall and crawled on the ceiling.

I looked to my girlfriend and laughed[although she is afraid of zombies she's conquering her fear by watching movies] and it just didn't make sense. She turned to me and laughed too, seeing the obvious error the movie had made.

In the Day of the Dead remake, there was a heavy set woman who was bit and turned into a zombie. I wouldn't have a problem with it if she didn't become an instant marathon runner! She was running like she didn't have any weight on her at all.

I think that when people turn onto zombies they don't gain any mystic power of knowing where people are or having inhuman strength. I believe that they will carry most of their physical traits over; if you're nearsighted or farsighted, you'll still have those things. Or if you're overweight you won't be able to run fast, or people in wheelchairs; they won't magically get up on their feet and come after you.

I think I'm just rambling at this point but you get the idea: zombies will be slow and kinda dumb, so that gives you an edge.

UPDATE?

Hello everyone, its time for a *GASP* update! So Sonic the Hedgehog 4 came out....which I dont have, and I also sold my PS3, PSP and some Anime. I feel a little more 'grown up' now that I dont have that many things draining my time now. Except for my iPhone....

The story goes like this: you know I have an iPhone, and have been using it for a while, but every so often the bars on the signal drop to nothing and then a nice little pop up appears and says "No SIM card installed" HUH?! The first time that happened to me, I thought I got a defective phone, but I restarted my phone and it didnt happen again for a while. Now every about month or so it will do that, but over the past week, my phone did it again. It wasnt a little blip like usual, I had to restart my phone THREE times to get the message to go away and have it actually connect to my wireless carrier! Three times! I am kind of frustrated with it, I mean...if I were to get a life changing call with my phone being wonky, I would never get it!

Im doing the whole restore thing for my iPhone and getting the latest software update for it, but I am not sure if its going to fix the problem already on there ya know? Oh! And there is another problem with it too! The vibrate switch has come off...so now I cant switch my phone to vibrate and have me be sneaky with it at work, since it announces every little touch...So here is my Master Plan:

Take the phone to an Apple Store and see what they can do about the SIM card issue, and the vibrate switch. The iPhone 3G is a little older now and my idea is this: see if I can get a 3GS on the cheap since I bought one a long time ago, but its falling apart...

I hope my Master Plan goes well, but I have to get in touch with the Apple Store and their Genius Bar and see what they can do...Other than that, my life is going pretty well, Im still with my girlfriend, and working and yada yada... Anyway, just making an update for all you peoples, and have gotten interested in the History of Google. Honestly when the Internet first started out I was using....Alta Vista....

OMG

I know, almost a daily update, it's scary I know, I hope you'll get accustom to it. Anyway, not much to report from my end, but I'll make a post anyhow.

The strangest thing happens when you are wearing one earbud and listening to music: your mind fills in the left or right blank in the song...it's crazy. It's like reading words all messed up, only for music.

Anyway, I'm here at my job on my break making a post....it's cool. I'm getting a decent wage here unlike a giant orange box that will remain nameless.

Now I'm not listening to the music on my iPhone, I find I only get 8 hours of music and by the time I get home it's pretty much dead, so I'm afraid my battery is going....but I would like to get a hold of an older iPod to play music on, so I'm not relying on my Girlfriend all the time.

The iPhone solution works for about a year or so and then the battery dies after extended use. It makes me sad, but I know now not to use my iPhone for road trips unless I have a way of charging it, but at the moment my cig lighter shorted or something so I can't charge it in my car...

Anywho, I gotta head back to my job, I'll talk to you all later

Day 5

Well. They said the smoke from the BC fires would have been gone by now, but it's still hanging around. It makes our fair city look like some of the bigger cities, complete with daily smog. Only ours stinks like trees and not like cars.

All right people the rumor-mill is true: I left my Home Depot job for something a little more stable. Like 8-5 mon-fri stable. Only thing is that it's through a staffing company, so I have no idea what happens after 3 months.

Anyway, I am flat broke at this moment in time, but I did manage to get a movie in, so it also happens to be Review time! Our new movie that I saw recently was Scott Pilgrim VS. The World.

Now for any Otaku or Video Game fans, this is the movie for you, especially if you're familiar with video game sounds. Lots of memorable tunes occasionally pop up in the movie and it's about the most visually cool movie I've seen in a long time. Better yet, it's based off a Manga that was written in Canada and the entire thing takes place in Toronto.

Our slacker of a hero Scott Pilgrim went between girls all the time and never really thought about what he was doing until he met Ramona Flowers, who changes Scott's world. Especially when he must fight the League of Evil Exs in order to be with Ramona.

Lots of funny comedy scenes along with some really action packed fight sequences. If you see only one movie this summer, make it Scott Pilgrim VS. The World
