Updation!

Hello world! I thought I would give all of you an update. On the story of Super Mario Galaxy: when it first came out, I figured I was out of luck since I didn't reserve it at any game store. I looked around on the Internets, but couldn't find anything. Finally I called Best Buy asking if they had a copy. On the phone he told me that they were not on the shelves, but would take a look in the stock room for me. 47. They had 47 copies of Super Mario Galaxy on release day. I asked if they could hold it for me and I rushed there to claim my copy; it was really great to see those guys go out of their way.

Oh. I'm moving again. from this place into another...I belong to a family of gypsies so its all good. I know all about the moving process: packing, finding things you thought you had lost, going back over the memories of things that are dear to you. I always get caught up in the memories of the stuff I have and I read/play/draw for another half hour. I know its a bad habit, but meh.

I came across a good memory of mine. I love Phantasy Star Online. I love playing it on my GameCube. I love playing it online. But, since Sega shut down the servers worldwide, I cant really play online anymore. But thats where Schtservers comes in. They have their own private servers without a monthly fee! I found the last PSO game subtitled Blue Burst and downloaded it to my PC legally from Sega and I got started playing online again! It makes me smile, but what I want more, is to play it on my GC, since I know all the controls for it already and my old GC has a broadband connector. Just hooking up my Wireless B adapter to my GC and a copy of Gameshark and I will be free and happy on PSO; especially since I forked over money for an PS2/GC adapter to type coherently. Maybe I should just get the adapter from my old one and buy a new GC, since they are only 30 dollars...

Ill have to think about that...

The power of Zero

Song: Higher
Artist: Creed

All right, this is something Ive thought long and hard about, and its quite complicated. It has to do with the most famous number of all: Zero. Thats right, the absence of a number is what I'm going to talk about tonight.

To the definition of Zero provided by dictionary.com, it states that Zero is the absence of a number. I totally agree with this, and like to take it a step forward.

With multiplication, we understand that we need to take multiples of those numbers and add them together. We know what happens when a number like Zero is introduced into Multiplication: the equation comes to Zero. This is tested with any number, from 1 to any number on the number line; either its positive or negative, it will always equal Zero.

Now this begs the question: What happens when we Divide by Zero? Well, from the definition provided, we can presume that anything divided by Zero will be that number. Basically, it will remain the same.

for Multiplication:
2x2= 4
2x0= 0

Now for Division:
4/2=2
4/0=?

Thats what most people would put down, because Zero is a non-number, the absence of a number right? Well...this is what I have been thinking about. If Multiplication and Division are opposite of each other, then what happens in one must be the opposite of the other. So if multiplying a number by Zero gives us Zero, then dividing by Zero should give us the number we are dividing by.

New Division:
4/0= 4

Because Zero by definition is the absence of a number, you are not taking the 4 and breaking it up into smaller parts, since there is nothing to divide it by. Also, since Zero is by definition not a number it cant possibly have a positive or a negative attached to it. That would mean there would be three extra numbers on the number line:

-0 0 +0

Being negative Zero and positive Zero, that does not work, since its not a number in the first place, as stated before.

If anyone sees anything wrong with this, or wishes to talk to me about it, leave me a comment, and I will be happy to talk to you about it. I don't intend to re-write the book on Zero (if there is such a thing XD) but any in put would be happily accepted.

Super Mario Galaxy

Yes, I found a copy of this wonderful game. This game is absolutely brilliant, in design, sound and graphics. I dare anyone to say that the Wii is 'a Gamecube on 'roids.' Super Mario Galaxy proves that the Wii is a complete step above what the Gamecube was.

Enough rambling about the systems, you probably want to know about the game right? Well wait no more, as the game looks amazing to say the least. Mario running through the worlds is as smooth as butter and the lighting and graphic dynamics are impressive. The movements with the Wiimote feels natural as all moving is done with the Nunchaku, the only thing the Wiimote does is attack and point to the screen to obtain items and jump. Running through the levels is an absolute blast, though at first the levels were disorientating, due to the rapid camera changes.

Why I say that, is because when you jump off the edge of the level, the gravity of the small planetoid pulls Mario back, causing th camera to do a 180 degree flip, which takes a bit of getting used to, but works for the best on the smaller levels. Now in larger worlds, the camera follows Mario. The best way to describe it is the Mario cam from Mario 64, but is much more responsive to the environment; but it has its flaws such as Mario being stuck behind a pillar, and only being able to see a shadow, and not the rest of the level.

Lots of old enemies return for this new game, but some are completely new, and require a little bit of thought to attack. The boss battles are huge. The sense of scale between Mario and some of the bosses is amazing, they literally tower over Mario.

Now...I will be probably be back at the end of the week to leave you more tidbits about picking up the game, since thats a cool story in of itself. Until next time.

Kitties!

I want a kitty cat....I have lots of reasons why they are better than dogs. First off, they dont slobber all over everything. Dogs seemingly constantly want attention, which wears me out after about 20 minutes or so. and for the most part, they are not really loud.

When I move into my own place after doing a couple of important things I am getting a cuddly kitten. I already have a name picked out: she will be called Yuki. Short and simple. But thats only after I can pass my certifications for my future job. For the most part, life is simply normal.

...As normal as my life could be. I learned my long-time friend suddenly had the urge to meet her online friend way in Northern Cali, which surprised me, and came to me for advise on how to travel on a Greyhound. However, Im always happy to help people in need, especially friends. If they call, I come running! But enough about that. After my compy performs its updates, I will get on my Wii and download Super Mario Brothers 3 and take it to my Brother-in-law's house so we can play.

Laters!

Moving.

Its quite nice when you are moving and you have a great, big truck to haul everything on. Thats exactly how my move went; yes, I am in a different location now in Springfield. Now I gotta go to the DMV and get my Drivers card changed and get mail forwarded and all that stuff associated with moving. Its not too bad, my new room is much bigger, and it comes with its own light! the room I had before had no such thing, and had to use a lamp to give myself light. There is so much room here I have no idea what to do with it all! its almost twice as big as my old room, which is cool, and my room-mates are cool too.

Well, they are my little sister and her husband, but its all right. They have their space, and I have mine. OOOH! The smash bros webpage is about to be updated, and I dont want to miss it! I will post something else here probably within the next few days or so.

True Love....

...Is something that can happen once in a life time. Many people just brush off this notion that 'two souls were meant for each other' but after watching what my parents went though...its totally proved its existence. I know I am not the fore-most expert on love or anything of that nature, but I know a remarkable thing when I see it. I just hope that I can find someone like that one day...

Sure they argue, I mean, if we didn't argue, and state our thoughts, we wouldnt be human. Whats amazing is that they can come to a common ground; express themselves in a meaningful manner and achieve results from it. My parents proved it beyond a doubt...Im just glad I was there to experience it all...

EPIC!

One of my favorite games to play is Super Smash Brothers Melee for the GameCube, and now with its sequel on the Wii, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, is so much bigger than Melee ever was! The graphics look amazing, like they are being produced on a XBox 360, but its on the Wii! not to mention 4, thats right FOUR different kinds of controller for one game! That way, no matter how you play the game, it always works for you. Whats even better is now-officially-the game has been confirmed for ONLINE PLAY!

Oh, how much cooler can this game get? Fighting someone half a world away on my favorite game? One word: AWESOME!!!!! The only bad part about it...it does not come to the States until December the 3rd...But since I already put some money down on it, I have procured my copy. And, yes for your info...I will be counting the days until the game is released...

Clouds....

I came to a realization when I was flying to Vegas. Clouds make me hungry. Its quite a stretch but stay with me: Clouds are white and fluffy, and cotton candy makes me hungry. So...I know this not a 'real' post in any sense, but it works for me.

Anime Vegas BABY!!

As many of you already know, I traveled to Vegas for the anime convention there. Let me say that it was AWESOME! I had so much fun, and bought lots of stuff, like Anime series and movie and adorable key chain figurines. I also made an AMV(or Anime Music Video) for the contest they held there at Anime Vegas, and they actually showed my video! I was stunned to say the least, I had never, EVER seen my video on a big screen so to speak, and there it was, in all its high quality version.

I bet the only reason people remember it was because thats when the Macintosh crashed(I witnessed it with my own eyes!) and they apologized for it, but it was no big deal, and the show went on. Then the next day, they were scheduled for an AMV Panel, where people get to ask the creators about their videos, but that never happened! thats the thing that gets me steamed, but I couldnt get any information from any of the staff other than, "uh....well....we are on a tight schedule..."

but enough of that, as you probably want to see the video right? And perhaps download the song to go with it? Well, your in luck:

animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=149895 this is the higher-quality version of the video I made and this one: video.google.com/videoplay?docid=826078778108324327&hl=en which dosent require waiting two weeks to download the video.

The song I used was Twister, which is a really cool song, and I knew it had to have a vid made to it and thats the result, the song is available here: www.dsfanboy.com/2007/05/15/its-a-wonderful-music-sampler/

Now! download and be merry!

Sorry....

I realize perhaps most of you have seen this either on television or from Youtube, but I must make a comment about this. If peoples of different countries ever wanted to see the...ignorance of Americans in general, then look no further than this video. I'm sure she felt very silly-if not stupid after making her answer, but what is done is done and will be forever immortalized on the Internet.

This is one more reason I am very, very glad I was not born American.

Attention!

Yes, attention DBZ fans. I have come across the VHS Version(the edited for TV stuff) of the series at my local Dollar Tree. I found 5 tapes with the standard three episodes on them, and I am passing along this information to you all. I mean...where can you find the original VHS tapes? The only places that come to mind are pawn shops and...not much else. So. if you ever wanted to have some of the legendary series Dragon Ball Z on VHS, now is your time to get it.

But, I am waiting for the rest of the series to be released on DVD, and I still have to pick up season two.

Mental Note: Something You Love...

I came to a realization. I am Otaku. I obsess over when the next Anime Convention is, who I am going to Cosplay as, and more importantly, I want rather pricey figurines that I cant afford right now. There is one catch to this however; I love being an Otaku. It makes my heart all fuzzy when I think of how much stuff I have collected. Upon my volumes of Anime and Manga, and growing number of figurines with two more in the processes of being added; I am not ashamed. This is what I love.
I constantly listen to various opening themes of Anime that I like and download AMVs made by other people and have made videos as well. if I did not have Anime...I really don't know where I would have wound up. All I know is this: Anime is my passion and anyone who does not like it; take a hike.

Mental Note: Anime Expo 2007

This entry doubles as a con-report. I have been attending AX for the past four years, and I must say, this is one of the best ones I have ever been to. First off, the registration line was quick, it took me less than an HOUR to get my badge and get to wandering around. The Artist Alley was amazing, as they gave them lots of room to spread out their tables and such; it was kind of hard wandering through there with the Video Game, and Workshop room right there but we managed. The Dealer's Room was neatly organized by rows separated by numbers, making finding a certain dealer a snap.

Of course with the good, must come the bad. I realize that there are things that happen outside one's control. Waiting in the AMV line for over two hours was brutal. Until the sun went down under the buildings, then it was all right.

As for the Cosplay this year, there were lots of really stunning Costumes that people made and wore. It made me really happy that I was also able to attend in costume. I cosplayed Phoenix Wright from the Capcom game series and people responded extremely well to it. I think Ive found a costume I can wear anywhere, since its a nice suit outside of Cosplay as well. I also did a first at this years Anime Expo: I made a gathering. Whats a gathering you ask? Well, quite simply, its a group of people who get together from the same game/anime/manga. We had a really good turnout, I counted at least 42 people in one shot.

Well...this is my AX con report, I know its still 300+ days away, but I'm excited for next year's AX!

Mental Note: Late Night Wendy's...

If you can, try and avoid it. Its not too healthy for you and most of the time they will get your order wrong. This is especially tough when your driving down the freeway in the late night and you chomp on your burger, and find a dry tomato in between the bun and the lettuce. When its not supposed to be there.

Mental Note: Car Horns...

I hear people all the time use their car horns to honk at people...it really irritates me, and I have a little saying that I always say to myself when I hear someone do it: Your Horn is to be used as a cautionary device, not as a substitute expletive.

Mental Note: Snaking...

Is the practice of achieving ungodly speed using a power-slide. I feel this is all right for making the Time Trials on Mario Kart DS, but when people use this tactic online using the Nintendo Wi-Fi; it kills the online experience, making people defect from this really fun game. Which is what I have done now. I am, as of this moment, defecting from Mario Kart DS. Only when I am really bored out of my mind will even consider coming back to play online. It saddens me that people are not using the tools that the developers gave them, like Items, but are rather bending the system to their own will. Doing this smashes Noobs and kills experienced players from having fun of an unpredictable race.

Mental Note - James Brown

James Brown will always be known as the 'Godfather of Soul', I mean...His work is legendary, Its catchy no matter who you are, you will start grooving and movin' and no matter how advanced we become, James Brown's music will still be on our portable audio players.

Mental Note: Taking over the World

Lets imagine for a moment that a person is actually trying to take over the world. I have to ask: if they are doing it for a good purpose, why should we stop them? I mean, if hypothetically I wanted to take over the world, get rid of debt for various nations and enact a world currency, would that be so wrong? Now, not to be confused with people who want to take over the world for all the wrong reasons like material gains and whatnot. If a person wants to take over the world and help it at the same time, I believe they should be given a chance; because sometimes thats all a person needs to succeed.

Menal Note: Shipping stuff.

If you ever decide to take the plunge and order something from Walmart.com and have it shipped to the store; you are in for quite the surprise. It takes 'officially' 7-10 days to reach the store, but for me its already been almost two weeks now and still no sign of my 500 dollar computer in their system. The worst part is that they cannot even track what goes on their trucks.

I think there is a solution to that. Using GPS and a tracking system for each piece of stuff, they could track where the trucks are, and where the stuff actually is, rather than simply saying on their site that its 'shipped'. I know this was more of a ramble than anything, but this is the Mental Note for the day: If you order something online, pay the extra fee to have it directly shipped to your residence so you are able to keep track of it.

First Mental Notes!

Welcome to my Mental Notes! Ever have those times when you wish you had a sheet of paper handy to write something important down? Well...in my mind those are called Mental Notes, and I use them all the time...Some of them are really good, some are a little loopy, but all in all; they work for me and now I get to share them with the world. Since this is the first post, I guess this is where someone would make a great big speech, which I just did...

So...Uh...These will just be mostly my thoughts on things that affect me, and sometimes I will take on the world and ask some questions too.
